Agnes Yackshaw

I am an Arlington resident who has been painting for over fifteen years. I enjoy painting portraits, people as well as pets, and nature, especially flowers. I paint primarily in oils but also work in watercolors and pastels. My major influences are the impressionists and I especially admire the use of light and the layers of color in their artwork and have adapted these qualities to my own paintings. I enjoy painting bright colors to evoke happy moods and the pleasures of life. My work may be seen in various venues under the curatorship of Arlington Artists Alliance. I also paint by commission.
