David Vickers

As a teaching artist at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton Virginia David currently contributes to the Workhouse Military in the Arts Initiative (WMAI) program as well as the Workhouse Create and Sip offerings. David has a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and he practiced clinical art therapy for 12 years. In addition to 20 years as an art educator David also ran a carpentry and cabinet-making business for five years. David has been making art for more than 50 years and he maintains a studio in Arlington Virginia where he resides. David works primarily with acrylics, watercolors, and mixed media.
