Most of my paintings depict wild animals and birds, often endangered species.
I work in colored pencil (dry and watersoluble), watercolor, graphite and ink.
I am a native of Germany. After living in Florida, Georgia and Oregon, I moved to D.C. in 1986.
My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in foreign language instruction, a graduate degree in English literature and a paralegal certificate.
After working for several years with the Patton Boggs law firm in Georgetown,
I was fortunate to spent the better part of six years off and on in Amsterdam, Florence and London. While there, I developed a strong interest in art and painting.
I then studied at the College of Art and Design in D.C. and have pursued this interest
ever since.
I am a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America.
My work has been represented by various galleries in D.C., Maryland and Virginia,
The Delaware Art Museum, the Invitational Gallery at Strathmore and the Architectural Center in D.C.
