Mara Flynn

Mara L Flynn, an artist living in Arlington, Va, began painting to infuse creativity and tranquility into her otherwise busy life. Her art studio is her transcendent escape from the demands of her personal life as a parent and caregiver of a medically fragile and developmentally challenged adult son. Mara began painting realistic nature scenes, such as landscapes, seascapes, and flowers. More recently, she delved into abstract compositions using bold colors to create intriguing pieces that evoke feelings and memories and explore new experiences. In addition to nature, she draws inspiration from her life experiences, emotions, travel, and imagination.  

She is a member of Falls Church Arts in Falls Church, VA, and regularly exhibits at its gallery. She also exhibits at Del Ray Artisans in Alexandria, VA, Artists in Middleburg in Middleburg, VA, Arlington Visual Arts Studio (AVAST) in Arlington, VA, and Guild Hall Cultural Institute in East Hampton, NY. She can be found in Studio 202 at 307 East Annandale Rd, Falls. Church, VA.
