Gratitude

A Solo Show by Barry Keith

Dates: October 3 - 28, 2022

Opening Reception: Friday, October 7, 2022, 5 to 7 pm

Barry Keith’s solo exhibition, Gratitude, explores a myriad of subject matter from landscapes to superheroes in a color palette outside of Keith’s usual tone. Typically, Keith is a fast plein air painter, but the pieces in Gratitude are slowed down and detailed.  His new paintings still carry over themes from his solo show last year at Gallery Underground, Water, but they also explore new themes for the artist.

Paintings such as “Brooklyn Stroll” and “Harper on the Rocks” are landscapes that delve into fantasy. “The Great Luzita” is a traditional portrait of a child’s intriguing face. “Windy Day” captures movement withing a landscape, while “Autumn” represents Keith’s favorite time of year. Gratitude represents Keith’s love of painting and love for all subject matter.
